LOWEST POSSIBLE STACK HEIGHT: Native 4-bolt Speedplay mount eliminates adapters, placing your foot just 8.5 mm from the pedal axle for unmatched pedal proximity.
HIGHER PEDAL EFFICIENCY: Direct cleat integration shortens the ankle lever arm, improving stability and power transfer while reducing calf and Achilles load.
INSTANT POWER DELIVERY: Heat-moldable carbon shell wraps the foot immediately, allowing effective power transfer even before full fastening out of T1.
PERSONALIZED CARBON FIT: Full carbon shell can be heat-shaped to fine-tune width, heel hold, and pressure points for race-long stability and comfort.
RUN-PRESERVING SUPPORT: Shell-based heel stabilization shifts load to hips and thighs, conserving lower-leg energy for a stronger run.

Scan Your Feet Follow the steps in the app. You’ll receive a detailed 3D profile of both feet.
Ask our CádoWiki Live: Instant Expert (in the bottom-right corner) for your best shoe size, or:
Use the Cádomotus Size Chart Our chart shows the length of the last—the mold your shoe is built on—not the length of your foot. ➤ Choose a size that’s at least 3–5 mm longer than your longest foot for a snug, race-optimized fit.
Understand Width and Instep Height (1–5 Scale) The app shows both measurements on a 1–5 scale:
3 = average → standard fit
2 or 4 = slightly narrow/wide or low/high → ideal for heat molding to fine-tune the fit
1 or 5 = very narrow/wide or very low/high → see options below
Special Fit Cases
Narrow or wide feet? If you’re in Bracket 1 or 5 for width, we recommend a custom width. ✔️ Wide versions of all CarbonShell™ shoes are available on request, with an 8-week lead time and a surcharge. ✖️ Narrow versions are not available—size down or mold for best fit.
Low instep? A low instep may feel loose or unsupported. This is common among elite triathletes who often use orthopedic insoles for volume control and support. ✔️ We recommend using performance insoles to optimize fit.
High instep? We do not offer high-volume shoes. Riders with a high instep should use heat molding and fine-tune strap tension for comfort and circulation.
Wide Foot Tip If you're borderline wide (Bracket 4), you can also try sizing up one size for more space.
Following these guidelines ensures a snug yet comfortable fit for optimal performance.
With the Chronos Bianco Speedplay edition, you get as low as possible.
Take your performance to the next level with the Chronos Bianco Speedplay edition, featuring a native 4-bolt sole design that eliminates the need for an adapter. This direct mount setup delivers the lowest possible stack height—just 8.5mm from pedal spindle to cleat interface, compared to 11.5mm with an adapter, and significantly lower than traditional road systems like Shimano SPD-SL (16mm) or Look Keo 2 (17.3mm).
Lower stack height through direct cleat integration
This video shows the Wahoo Direct Mount version of the Chronos triathlon cycling shoe in action.
Mounting the cleat interface directly into the carbon shell sole reduces the overall stack height. A lower stack height shortens the lever arm between the pedal axle and the ankle joint, which can reduce calf strain and improve ankle stability—especially during high-torque efforts and in the later stages of a race.
Rather than adding stiffness through the upper or additional closures, this approach focuses on sole geometry and pedal proximity to create a more stable and efficient interface between rider and bike.
Low Stack Height for Efficient Biomechanics
Stack height of the shoe is defined as the vertical distance from the inside of the shoe—measured directly from the carbon shell without the insole—to the cleat mounting surface. With an internal stack height of 7 mm for the Wahoo Direct Mount block, your foot sits close to the pedal axle, reducing the leverage on the ankle and calf muscles. This results in a more direct power transfer, greater stability, and reduced muscular fatigue, helping you ride efficiently and start the run with fresher legs.
The Chronos Aero Long Distance Cycling Shoe Gives You Wings
Experience unmatched comfort, optimal power transmission, and minimal air resistance with this innovative cycling shoe designed for triathletes. The Chronos Aero is engineered to elevate your performance and support your efforts on the road.
An Aerodynamic Design with Measurable Gains
Aerodynamics matter most when riding solo and at higher speeds. This shoe uses a single dial-lock fastening system, covered by a smooth lace shield that closes with a zipper. By reducing surface texture and airflow disturbance around the instep, drag is lowered compared to conventional closure systems. Wind-tunnel and on-road testing show small but consistent aerodynamic improvements, with the exact benefit depending on factors such as yaw angle, foot position, speed, and the shoe used for comparison.
Comfortable to Put On, Take Off, and Wear, Even in the Rain
Crafted from a single piece, the shoe transitions smoothly from a hard carbon shell to softer upper sections, ensuring comfort and ease of wear. The carbon shell includes drainage holes to prevent water accumulation, while the upper is made from lightweight, sustainable, and anti-bacterial microfiber leather.
An Efficient Pedal Stroke Without Fastening Your Shoes
Designed for seamless transitions, this shoe allows for power transfer to your pedals immediately, even if not fully fastened. The easily heat-moldable carbon shell wraps snugly around your foot, optimizing each pedal stroke for maximum efficiency, especially during high power transfers and accelerations.
A Stiff Carbon Shell Saving You Energy for the Run
The solid carbon shell-sole provides exceptional support and stabilization for your entire foot, particularly your heel bone. Its unique shell-like shape helps relieve tension in your calves, allowing you to utilize your hips and thighs for pedaling. This strategic design conserves energy for your run, giving you an advantage when it matters most.
The Advantages in Short:
Aerodynamic design with measurable gains, thanks to a smooth shoe surface and lower body position
Improved power transfer, even with shoes that are not fully fastened
Energized legs for the run due to optimal support and stabilization while cycling
