The R980 clap blades are built for long track and sprint speed skating, where the clap hinge lets the blade stay in contact with the ice through the full push before the boot lifts away from the hinge. That extra ice contact is the whole point of clap skate blades: more of the push turns into speed, less gets lost as the blade lifts early.

SIZED FOR YOUR BOOT MOUNTING

R980 clap skate blades are available in mounting lengths from 15" to 17", matched to boot sizes 34 through 42, so you can pair them with your current boots without guessing.

  • CLAP HINGE MECHANISM: Keeps the blade on the ice longer through each push for long track and sprint speed skating.
  • MULTIPLE MOUNTING LENGTHS: 140/150/160/170mm mounting options covering boot sizes 34–42.
  • BUILT FOR COMPETITION: Designed for skaters training and racing long track and sprint distances.

Cadomotus clap skate blades are engineered with the same speed skating background — more than 25 years of blade and boot engineering — that underpins the brand's full skating and triathlon range.
